At the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame, these words symbolize our mission. We are dedicated to the goal of ensuring that the TBHOF succeeds in Houston as a first-class operation. Thanks to our diligent volunteers and our pioneer supporters, we are a lot closer to making that goal a reality. We have much work to do, and we need your support to secure and develop a permanent location for our museum in Houston.
Lone Star League
In 2004, the TBHOF estalished the Lone Star League. We appreciate the support of our Lone Star Pioneers who helped us get the program started. Thanks to feedback from our members we continue to make improvements, adding some things and changing some others. The new Lone Star League features such benefits as:
Personalized Membership Card — Identifies you as a member of the Lone Star League. This card shows your support and commitment to the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame, our mission, and the sport of baseball throughout the State of Texas.
Priority Status for Events — Lone Star League members have the opportunity to purchase advanced sale tickets to the annual induction banquet as well as other future events. Tickets for the 2006 banquet are $75 each or $750 for a table of 10.
Newsletter — All members will receive the official Texas Baseball Hall of Fame newsletter. This publication provides historical features, Hall of Famer profiles, in-depth articles, and much more. The plan is to publish a print version as well as an E-Bulletin, which will be sent to all Lone Star League members.
Special Drawings — Lone Star League members are automatically entered into special drawings held throughout the year. Exact prizes and other details will be announced via the Web site and/or the newsletter.
Membership Expiration and Renewal — Lone Star League memberships are based on the calendar year, expiring on December 31. Memberships that are processed after the banquet will be carried over to the following year. Renewals may be made anytime before the expiration date.
Membership Levels — In the past, we had various levels of membership in the Lone Star League. This year, in response to your suggestions, we have simplified the membership process by having only one level. For those who would like to support the TBHOF at a higher level, we have created a new event sponsorship program.
Banquet Sponsorship
Building on the 26-year tradition that began in Dallas/Ft. Worth, our first two annual induction banquets in Houston were very successful, averaging sellout crowds of over 500 people. Our 2006 banquet promises to set an even higher standard! This year we have two once-in-a-lifetime events highlighting our banquet program: the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League’s reunion and the 45th-year reunion of the Colt .45s. There are still many details to finalize, but this is an event you will not want to miss!
Putting on a banquet like the one we have planned for 2006 requires significant funding. We need your help to make it a success. Our new banquet sponsorship program is an excellent way to support the TBHOF while promoting your organization. For your generosity, you will receive a special banquet table, a complimentary Lone Star League membership, an ad in our banquet program, recognition on our Web site and the banquet program, and more.
